This was my first revoltech figure, and I must say I am impressed, the accuracy is astounding. Right out of the box, Anubis does require some assembly, as his wings and tail are not attached in the package.

Detail-wise, the figure is superb, almost every inch of the figure is covered in either sculpted or painted detail. The detailing switches constantly from large, shiny, relatively flat surfaces, to increbidly intricate little panels that create a wonderful layered effect.

The figure is also well articulated, using revoltech joints for the shoulders, elbows, hips, one at the root of each stem connecting a wing, and one where the stem connects to the wing, there are also two revoltech joints in the neck, one in the torso, and one at the base of the spine, connecting the tail. The figure non-revoltech joints are in the knees, which hinge forwards, in the biceps where the swiwel just below the shoulder-pad, in the wings which hinge to allow them to open and close, and non-ratcheting revoltech-style jints in the wrists.

One of the main drawing points on this thing are the "wings", known in the game as Vector Traps, the figure comes with six of them, and they connect ot a seperate clear-plastic frame which in turn connects to Anubis' back. Each piece sits on a cler plastic arm, with two revoltech joints on each end of the arm, allowing great freedom of movement, even being able to fully wrap aroud the main body.

Unless you count the tail and wings as accesories, then Anubis has an almost pitiful accesory count, with only his spear and his stand. Starting with the stand, you get the components for a standard revoltech stand, plus a second base piece, a connector to plug the two base pieces to together, and a connecter that looks like a revoltech joint bent to about a 60 degree angle, but is actually completely solid. These pieces let you create a bigger than usual stand, with a much wider base, the solid joint being what connects Anubis to the stand. With his wings attached, the large stand proves necesarry, as the figure gets rather heavy, you also get two white revoltech joints that are suppsed to be used for the stand, but I don't think they would be really useful. The spear is nicely detailed, but it connects to Anubis' hand via a small peg, and the fit is really tight, makig me fear I'll break it.

Overall, this is a wonderful piece, it's not a toy in any sense of the word, but rather a display piece, for an adult collectable. A must have for any ZoE fan, or if you Have a revoltech Jehuty, and also higly recommended to any mecha fan.
