Strike Witches 2: Sanya V.Litvyak -Rocket Booster Ver.- (PVC Figure)

Strike Witches 2: Sanya V.Litvyak -Rocket Booster Ver.- (PVC Figure)

The first thing I noticed when I opened up this one and put her together was the high quality of workmanship - especially given the reasonable price.

This version of Sanya has two main options because they include two different bodies, in addition to that, they both have different variations as well, so you can easily come up with whatever suits your taste.

You can choose to have her in the winter clothes, with her hair antennae and stationary props or any other way you see fit - there are literally too many combinations to list here.

In the pictures I copied the same design seen in the anime and it came out quite well.

There is a small magnet placed in the side of her head and the rocket launcher, so when you set it up, the rocket launcher has something to "stick" to and doesn't move about.

Character Vocal Series - Nendoroid Petit : Miku Hatsune Selection (12pcs) (PVC&ABS Figure)

I was a bit reluctant in buying the Petite versions of Nendoroids, mostly because the larger Nendoroids are quite small coming in at only 100mm. After receiving these Petite versions, I'm actually fine with the size, especially considering they are 65mm.

Most of them can stand up without the actual stand. I found that balancing them on their hair works best as seen in my pictures.

Overall, these little Nendoroids are kawaii as !@#$.

Another nice set of SEGA prize figurines for a reasonable price.

I was a bit hesitant to pick the pair up at first due to what other people had to say about them, but I can't say I agree with them after receiving the figurines. The pair of Hanekawa's are very nicely detailed in everything aspect (even the custom base compared to standard basic prize bases).

There are very minor inconsistencies in the paint work and the figurines I received needed a small clean (which should be done for all figurines you receive).

If you're a fan of Hanekawa, these are definitely worth the purchase. 9/10 for both.

Upotte!! - Premium Figure : FN FNC (Funco)

Upotte!! - Premium Figure : FN FNC (Funco)

Upotte!! is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine and I'm disappointed that there aren't any other figurines from the anime (I'd like to see all of the cast at one point - but I'm not hopeful).

Given how ecchi the anime is, I'm surprised to see FNC in quite a tame pose (unless of course you turn her around with her back facing you).

For a prize based figurine, she is quite tall (210mm) and nicely detailed - she also has a nice custom base instead of a standard prize black base.

There are some minor inconsistencies with the paint work, this can be seen with the paint on hem of the skirt. As far as the sculpting goes, everything is fine except for certain parts of her hair (can be seen in the fourth picture).

The FN FNC rifle itself is nicely detailed and has a glossy shine under light whereas Funco herself has a dull/matte appearance.

Overall, a nice prize figurine at a reasonable price.

Mio Akiyama Death Devil ver. Ichiban-kuji

Mio is a personal favourite, so I might be a bit biased.

I was hoping to see Death Devil Ver. of the K-ON! girls, and sure enough upon searching, there was. This Death Devil Ver. of Mio is nicely detailed for a SEGA prize figurine, she is very accurate to how she is viewed in the anime during the Death Devil band scene.

There are no noticeable issues with the sculpting or paint. If you own the others of the Death Devil group, Mio is the nicest, with Yui coming in at a very close second - of course any fan will try to get the entire group.

Personally, the only issues I have are: I would've liked to see a larger version and her hair is a bit of a clump rather than more individual strands seen on other figurines (can be seen in the last picture).

Mio's a shorty coming in at 170mm. Overall, she is worth the purchase considering the reasonable price, I give her a 9/10.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya : Mikuru Asahina Gothic Punk Ver.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya : Mikuru Asahina Gothic Punk Ver.

First and foremost, I added a small Tibetan steel gothic crucifix for added effect to this figurine, I forgot to remove this during the photography - if you're interested in doing the same, they can be found on eBay as well as a small junk jewellery shops.

I generally steer away from Griffon figurines due to their track record of not getting the face correct (usually when compared to their draft/prototypes).

However, Griffon did a very good job on Mikuru's face which is very close to the anime. I was surprised to see a gothic version of Mikuru of this size (245mm - 1/7 scale) and quality.

Her overall outfit and details are great, she has a frilly underskirt which is a bit uncommon. Mikuru's footprint and balance is ideal to stand her without the base, which might be ideal for some people with limited space (her base is quite large, coming in at 180mmx140mm).

Overall, a very worthwhile purchase and a nice addition to any Suzumiya collection.

Sword Art Online: Asuna -Knights of blood ver.- (PVC Figure)

Sword Art Online: Asuna -Knights of blood ver.- (PVC Figure)

I'd have to say, this is one of the nicest figurines in my current collection.

Being a Good Smile Company figurine, the attention to detail is of the highest quality, she has a perfect pose. Her face and body proportions look true to the anime - there are no issues with the paint either.

Special care should be taken when handling this one, her red skirt, white lower cape and hair will not take much pressure before breaking.

I've noticed a few people mentioning trouble when adding the sword to the figurine. When inserting the sword, pull the hilt away from the sword to separate them into two halves, insert the hilt into her hands and rejoin them.

Definitely worth picking up if you're a fan of Asuna or SAO in general.
