1/48 Scale. This kit measures 24 3/4" long with a 35 1/4" wingspan and 105pcs. The Superfortress was used extensively in the China/Burma/India theatre and the SW Pacific during WWII, and later in the Korean conflict. Although it was used at low altitude over Japan, it was designed and built as a high altitude, long range strategic heavy bomber capable of carrying a 20,000lb bomb payload. Defensive armament included 4 remotely controlled turrets, each utilizing two .50 caliber machine guns. Features: Comes molded in light gray and clear, Includes 5 crew members, Bomb load and complete detailed interior, Hamilton Standard hydromatic propellers early stlye AN/APQ-13 radome and SCR-595 IFF antenna assemblies, decal markings for the B-29A-40-BN "Cream of the Crop" based at Kadena Okinawa 1951 and the B-29-5-BW 426299 "Humpin Honey" of the 770th Chengtu China July 1944.
