Considered one of the most beautiful girls in high school, Mikuru, a second-year high school student (a junior in the English anime), is described as being an "untouchable flower on the mountain" by the male student body. Her popularity among the boys, however, doesn't detract her from being very shy and easily embarrassed. Before being forced to join the SOS Brigade, she was originally a member of the Calligraphy Club. She's best friends with Tsuruya, who is also a second-year student. In addition to starring in the SOS Brigade's amateur-movie in the first episode, both Mikuru and Tsuruya were waitresses for The Acorn, a short-stop dine-in for fried soba that was run by all the girls in Mikuru's class during the school festival.

First and foremost, I added a small Tibetan steel gothic crucifix for added effect to this figurine, I forgot to remove this during the photography - if you're interested in doing the same, they can be found on eBay as well as a small junk jewellery shops.

I generally steer away from Griffon figurines due to their track record of not getting the face correct (usually when compared to their draft/prototypes).

However, Griffon did a very good job on Mikuru's face which is very close to the anime. I was surprised to see a gothic version of Mikuru of this size (245mm - 1/7 scale) and quality.

Her overall outfit and details are great, she has a frilly underskirt which is a bit uncommon. Mikuru's footprint and balance is ideal to stand her without the base, which might be ideal for some people with limited space (her base is quite large, coming in at 180mmx140mm).

Overall, a very worthwhile purchase and a nice addition to any Suzumiya collection.
